Bringing hope to children, elderly people and families.

Chamal Foundation Limited is a caring organization that supports vulnerable people with compassion, practical help and opportunities for a better future. Our current activities are carried out at our home in Nakifuma, where children, young people, elderly people and families can receive care, encouragement and support.

Our Mission

To bring hope, compassion and opportunities that transform lives of vulnerable people.

Who We Are

A foundation built around compassion, dignity and practical action.

Chamal Foundation Limited exists to stand with people who are facing difficult situations and to help them feel seen, valued and supported. We believe that every person deserves care and respect, whether that person is a child trying to stay in school, a young person facing a difficult start in life, an elderly person who needs attention and companionship, or a family struggling to meet basic needs.

Our current work is home-based. We carry out our activities at our home in Nakifuma, where we spend time with the people we support, listen to their needs, share meals, provide practical assistance and create a safe and welcoming place for activities. Some needs can be supported immediately, while others require long-term planning, partnerships and resources.

Our Mission

To bring hope, compassion and opportunities that transform lives of vulnerable people.

As the foundation grows, we want our work to become more organized, more consistent and more transparent. We also hope to develop stronger programs for elderly people and, in the future, establish safe homes or care centres where older people who need support can receive proper care, companionship and dignity.

Who We Support

We care about people at different stages of life.

Our mission is not limited to one age group. Chamal Foundation looks at the needs of vulnerable people and responds with care, respect and practical support through activities carried out at our home.

C

Children

We support children through education-related assistance, dignity and hygiene support, encouragement, activities at our home and other forms of practical care that help them grow in a safer and more supportive environment.

Y

Young People

Young people need guidance, confidence and opportunities. We want to encourage them to stay focused on education, personal development, good choices and positive participation in family life, school and society.

E

Elderly People

We also care for older people who may be living with limited support, loneliness or difficulty meeting everyday needs. We want them to receive respect, companionship and practical assistance.

F

Families

Children and elderly people are part of families. Where possible, we also look at household needs and encourage families and caregivers to take part in creating better support systems.

V

Vulnerable People

Vulnerability can affect people in different ways. Our aim is to listen carefully, avoid judgment and find responsible ways of helping people whose circumstances have made life especially difficult.

P

Partners and Supporters

We value volunteers, schools, families, churches, organizations and other partners who can help strengthen the care and activities provided at our home.

Our Main Areas of Work

Simple support can make a meaningful difference.

Our programs are developing step by step. We focus on needs that can improve dignity, education, wellbeing and the ability of vulnerable people to move forward.

Education and school support

We want children to have a fair chance to learn. Our education work can include encouraging school attendance, supporting school-related needs, providing learning materials when possible and working with families or partners to reduce barriers that keep children away from education.

Dignity and hygiene

Good hygiene is important for health, confidence and dignity. Our activities at the home have included support with sanitary pads and other practical items. We want girls and other vulnerable people to have access to basic items that help them participate in school and daily life with confidence.

Basic needs and practical care

Some families and elderly people may need help with basic daily needs. Depending on resources and the needs identified, support may include essential items, food-related assistance, clothing, hygiene supplies or other practical help.

Elderly support

Older people deserve to age with dignity. We want to listen to and support elderly people through the care and activities provided at our home. Our long-term vision includes creating proper elderly care homes or centres when the foundation has enough resources and responsible systems to manage them well.

How We Work

We want our support to be responsible and respectful.

We are still growing, but these principles guide how we want to serve people and communicate our work.

Listen Understand needs before acting
Respect Protect dignity and privacy
Respond Give practical support where possible
Grow Build stronger programs and partnerships

We do not publish invented beneficiary numbers or donation totals. Verified figures and reports can be added as the foundation’s record-keeping grows.

Our Future Vision

Planning for safe and caring homes for elderly people.

One of the foundation’s future goals is to create homes or care centres for elderly people who need a safe place, daily support and companionship. This is a long-term goal and will depend on proper planning, resources, qualified care, partnerships and responsible management.

A place of dignity, not isolation

Our vision is not simply to provide a building. We want future elderly care homes to feel safe, respectful and welcoming. Older people should be treated as valued members of society, with opportunities to talk, participate, receive support and remain connected to family life and other people.

Before such a home is created, the foundation will need to plan carefully for accommodation, food, hygiene, health referrals, staffing, safeguarding, security, daily activities and long-term running costs. We want any future project to be sustainable rather than rushed.
