Volunteer
Give your time during activities at our home, events, planning, organization, photography, documentation or other approved foundation work. Volunteers should respect safeguarding and privacy rules.
Supporting Chamal Foundation does not only mean giving money. People can help through time, skills, useful items, partnerships, introductions, professional services and future financial support.
We welcome conversations with individuals, families, businesses, schools, churches, local groups, professionals and organizations that share our concern for vulnerable children, elderly people and families.

You may be able to support with school materials, hygiene items, clothing, food-related items or supplies for elderly people. Please contact the foundation first so the team can confirm what is currently needed.
Businesses, NGOs, schools, churches, health professionals and other organizations can explore practical partnerships around education, dignity, elderly care, basic needs or future projects.
Professionals can help with areas such as health education, social work, counselling referrals, legal guidance, fundraising, communications, construction planning, finance, training or technology.
People interested in elderly wellbeing can help with activities at our home, essential items, referrals, companionship programs or future planning for elderly care centres and homes.
When official donation channels and campaigns are activated, supporters will be able to contribute to clearly described needs and projects with better accountability.
A strong partnership should be clear about what each side is contributing and what the project is meant to achieve. We are interested in responsible partnerships that directly benefit vulnerable people.
Donating the right item at the right time is more useful than sending things the foundation may not currently need. Please speak with the foundation before collecting or delivering items.
Volunteering around children and vulnerable adults requires responsibility. Good intentions are important, but safe and respectful behaviour is equally important.
Do not share private information, photographs or personal stories without proper permission.
Do not use language or images that embarrass people or present them only as objects of pity.
Work with the foundation team and follow the agreed activity plan rather than acting independently.
If you commit your time or skills, communicate clearly and keep the commitment where possible.
Activities at our home also need time, organization, transport, professional skills, documentation, food preparation, respectful interaction and people who are willing to serve. Volunteers and partners can help in different ways depending on the activity and on the foundation’s safeguarding requirements.
Tell us what you would like to contribute and the team can discuss whether it matches a current or future need.
